Yahoo! bought Tumbler, what’s to say they were desperate? Da Google bought You Boob and other tech company mergers/buyouts have occurred over the years and not out of desperation. Now the purchase price of Tumblr was probably way over it’s value, but hey what’s a few billion among tech companies?

Basic fact: carbon dioxide absorbs heat. That’s been proven since the late 1800s. Here’s another fact: the more CO2 you pump into the air, the more heat will be absorbed. CO2 levels are now at about 400ppm, whereas 50 years ago it was at about 300ppm. Such a rate of change, sustained change as a matter of fact, Is unprecedented. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.planetforlife.com/images/keeling2.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.planetforlife.com/co2history/&h=658&w=958&sz=35&tbnid=BRlkhSFcNXx0vM:&tbnh=86&tbnw=125&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dcarbon%2Bdioxide%2Bconcentration%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=carbon+dioxide+concentration&usg=__yvW-ucAW1G5l1sT9UrZQd-nCkQM=&docid=vvu_EUlbnmjX2M&sa=X&ei=tKaeUa_1DsLv0gHv94H4Aw&ved=0CHIQ9QEwCg&dur=3201
The Earth as a whole is heating up, and will continue to heat up. It can’t be stopped. At best, you can lessen the amount of increase for the future. But humans, being greedy, won’t be stopping anytime soon. Thus, expect there to be major, major problems in the world in the future due to countless problems that will be produced from a much warmer Earth.
