The Pope said, “Who am I to judge?”
You’re the freakin’ Pope, that’s who!

    “Fall” = “go down”

The Pope is infallible. He doesn’t go down.

The Catholic Church (at least the Pope) will no longer condemn homosexuals out-of-hand.

However, at the same time the position of “no sex outside of marriage” was reiterated.

So unless the Catholic Church reverses its stance on same-sex marriage, it’s still the old “It’s OK if you WANT to do it, so long as you don’t actually DO it” bind.

St. Paul himself said “It is better to marry than to burn”, after all…

It was actually very clever. By him saying “who am I to judge?”, he is actually saying that he, as Pope, is still in no position to second guess God; who, if you believe in an all powerful God, must have been the one who made homosexuals in the first place. Apparently he does not believe religion should be used to oppress or be prejudiced against any people.

Zimmerman was in a hurry because governor Perry had invited him to his hunting camp (N…head Ranch) where they would be hunting like in the movie “Surviving the Game”.

doesn’t the christian bible say something to the effect of “judge not, lest you to shall someday be judged”?

Actually, what he was saying was the standard Catholic stance that we can’t judge the spiritual state of another person on this earth, and that if a homosexual person is truly seeking God then the pope has no basis of saying one way or another. It is only news because various news agencies either fail at reading comprehension, have an agenda, or are just really bad fact checkers.
