Hmm, it does seem they invented taxes in Genesis, paid to the priests, that old burnt offerings thing, so why do these “religious” guys object to taxes?

It rather frightens me that so many Republicans have had something to say about rape this election. Perhaps their view of rape should have been included in the platform along the lines of “If you get raped it’s because you were asking for it, slut.”

They object to the tax going too other people.

I have the feeling that whenever rape is mentioned some of the Republican candidates hear a chorus of “Memories”.

With so many reDUMBlicans misspeaking about their true feelings you have to start to think that this IS the reTHUGlican position on rape and abortion. Teh only reason why they “correct” or “explain” what they said, after they spoke their true feelings, is because it doesn’t play well with the mainstream moderate electorate.
.
Be wary of the reDUMBlicans if they get control, you will lose a great deal of your liberties.

What’s really depressing is that no is bothering to distance themselves from the latest (but not last) remark. True colors.

Hey, Rapists: The republicans say your rapes are the will of God, so all Rapists should vote Republican! Republicans support rape!!!

They make the specious claim that somehow taxation stifles their speech. (They never have been questioned on this yet.)

Women should have total control over their bodies period. Spending all this time on rape takes away from women’s rights period.

They’re just deeply concerned with the paternal rights of the poor rapists, an underrepresented minority.
OH, and if you’re going for an Biblical take on taxation, consider the case of taxes on tilled fields vs orchards… fields that had to be tilled every year were taxed at a much lower rate. Sounds like an Old Testament take on taxation would be to tax capital gains at a much higher rate than labor…?

You are wise and have submitted an excellent take on things. Thanks!
