    Because it’s a British strip, which you’d know if you scrolled down and read the “About Badlands” paragraph to the right.

    This is why you don;t lend money to the financially inept. Unless they take care of the basic problems of ther money handling, you are just enabling their quick descent into destruction.

    @knitkitty, Thanks, I had not looked at that side of the page before, but it still does not clarify this for me. I see the comic was written by an Englishman and printed in an English paper, but it is very confusing to me. It would be just as confusing to me if an American wrote a comic from America that was set in England but used American spelling and money. I am sure the British recognize the dollar sign so why use the pound sign?

    Excuse me, but are my posts invisible or something? I said the same thing that knitkitty did three hours before knitkitty posted, and yet you acknowledged knitkitty and not me? If I didn’t know better, I’d swear there was a conspiracy going against me.
