Hope I’m not too late to voice in, but here goes:
I find it fun. Actually I like many sherpa comics better than most syndicated features (with a few exceptions).
I don’t want to sound nosy (or sound like some know-it-all dude pretending he knows you), but may I ask why are you considering dropping it? I think it’s great that you want to get your audience involved in the decision-making, but I also think it’s important that you, the artist, enjoy the process of making and publishing this feature.
As a non-paying, non-contributing reader, I appreciate all the people who get out of their way to publish comics for free on the internet. Specially because comic culture is virtually non-existent in my region and it’s impossible to find comics on newspapers or magazines, save for the occasional (painfully unfunny) political cartoons.
However, I am a living average person in a college budget. The fact that giving a free gig will get me the appreciation of my drunk friends and a few girls for fifteen minutes but won’t ultimately pay the bills or buy food does not escape me. I have seen many comics die and, while feeling really sad (and sometime a little guilty), I really can’t say I blame the authors.
Don’t take me the wrong way: my vote is definitely for you to keep making this comic, but I’ve been around webcomics long enough to know most artists love their comics, and that when they consider ending them it’s because something is really not working out on their side.
Soooooo… long boring comment aside: doing what you love != forcing yourself into loving what you do.
I will cross my fingers and wait for your decision, though.

Thanks for your comments, everybody. Unfortunately…things are looking bleak for comics at the moment. We’ll see…

I like the style of your comic – you might consider starting your own website for it. I’m about to start a Sherpa account to present my comic to the audience here but I have a website as well where there will be more up-to-date comics. Was this experiment worth the money for you?

You definitely have talent and creating your own website is a great idea. I started my site last January for jack radio comics and I love that I can do anything I want with my strip. Plus practice makes perfect! Good luck!

I was curious why you took a break anyway. Yes come back. The main character is hilarious! He reminds me of this friend I know in Minnesota.
