it’s about gravity. take that elephant and shove him off a two story building….the impact would not be pretty. now take that ant and flick him off the same building—-of course, it would be unhurt.
so the ‘relative to size’ argument is meaningless

If I step on an ant, the whole ant hill will come out and swarm all over me and make me wish I was dead. If I step on an elephant, will it notice?
If an ant steps on me, I will probably not notice, but if an elephant steps on me, I’ll probably be dead.
