At first I thought he interrupted her ice cream, but now I think that they are both supposed to be on a diet, and he caused her to snack.

Absolutely! “Meow meow meow meow” means “I’m hungry I’m hungry I’m hungry” (and I’m a dog person, too, Nos Nevets)

I’m sure that fetid smell of questionable meat and organ byproducts is the aroma of ambrosia to the cats, but my appetite goes south whenever I have to feed the roommate’s cat. How she can think of ice cream is a mystery to me.

Actually, he may not be. Unlike dogs, a cat’s skin fits so loosely that it can turn around inside it to attack somebody holding their back; as the cat ages, it tends to hang looser on the bottom even if the cat’s the right weight. For a cat, that’s often just a sign of aging.

My grandfather’s cat would meow incessantly if we entered the kitchen even when there was food in his bowl. People would lose their temper and yell at him. But if there was already food in his bowl I would meow back and he would soon stop. It really wasn’t hard just imitating his meow.
