    Wow, first again.
    Janis doesn’t want to realize Arlo still finds her exciting.

    Sounds like something Grandma Walton would say.

    funny, if they are gonna draw Janis as younger they should draw Arlo younger also. To answer his question, nothing is more depressing than shopping for a bathing suit after a LONG winter……..ugh!!

    You don’t have to wear it to the beach. You just have to bring it home and model it. Don’t be a fool. It’s money well wasted to know he still finds you hot.

    Lose the phone, Janis! Arlo didn’t marry you for better or for phone.

    It is EXACTLY what Grandma Walton used to say.

    Or Janis sees herself this way when she looks in a mirror….

    It’s a pretty good answer for most of everything you deal with in a man over 50. They’re either old before they’re time and have taken root on the couch or obsessed with staying young and stupidly injuring themselves during activities like roller blading. There doesn’t seem to be any in-between. They also think they look great in biking shorts. We just passed an arc where Arlo was whining about their aging and Janis acted much younger. Go figure.

    @Midsouth Dave

    I’d rather see Janis in a bikini than Grandma Walton!

    I think all clothing is fading in importance as time goes by. It doesn’t matter what you wear now. Janis could just wear some jeans cut-offs to the beach and would look fine.

    You’re not alone. I used to work with two women who absolutely dreaded swimsuit shopping; and one of them actually had a body for it (the other was exceedingly petite and usually shopped in the little girls’ section, another reason she hated swimsuit shopping). But about the same time, USA Today put out one of its infamous infographics that indicated most women would rather speak in public than shop for swimsuits. I think it also said they’d rather have a root canal; but that one might have come from the Onion (are they still relevant?).

    I’ve never been a woman of fashion, and I’ve never understood why it’s so important to buy a new swimsuit every summer. Do they wear out? Go out of style? What happens to all the old bathing suits, given to Goodwill Thrift Shop?

    I totally agree. Buying a new swimsuit every year is a waste of money. If it fits and it’s not torn or worn out, wear it. I haven’t bought a new suit since 2005. Think of all the money I saved. (I wonder where it all went.)
