    Yes, it is true. Breadfruit trees to be exact. Their original mission was to bring them back from the Pacific/South East Asia for the Caribbean plantations to use as cheap food for the slaves.

    I have a lot of windows with southern or western exposure. I bring my potted plants inside about the middle of September. That way they have a chance to get used to the lower light and dryer conditions before heating season. They lose very few leaves.
