4:44 pm here in Michigan, but you forgot to include that it was in May that it started. Got to be one of the coolest rainiest summers in my over 60 years

Fall arrived Aug. 1. The Equinox occurs today marking Mid-Fall day. (I’m traditional, and it makes more sense)

What official organization mandated that the seasons BEGIN at the equinoxes and solstices? Anyone remember the (apparently now obsolete) terms “midsummer” and “midwinter” for the solstices?! Breaking news, folks! The seasons (as in when the weather takes on certain characteristics) begin at different times in different latitudes.
