I wonder what the commentators of todays “extremly funny and witty” comic will make. The comics make less sense and the comments become weirder day by day.

A Wardrobe, a Dresser and more than half the closet full of clothes and yet the wife has nothing to wear.

If I wore a red shirt and blue slacks every day, my closet would be easy to organize too.

My husband has suits and sports jackets; flannel shirts for dress; flannel shirts for outside; nice short sleeves; casual short sleeves; and then there’s shirts for Scouts and 3 shelves of Tees. He manages with 3 closets and juggles them. I have one closet with dressier or warmer things on one side. I like Arlo’s thinking.

Sometimes the strip just make an observation.
Not everything has to be funny.

    @Arachnidia

People who can make 64 comments just about the weather, as done the day before yesterday, and 23 comments about the same theme yesterday don’t need a topic. They would enthusiastically comment an empty cabinet shown on all frames without anything else. Just to escape the emptiness and the loneliness of their useless lives.
    It’s terrible!
    I can’t stand it anymore!
    I’ll leave for good!

    You’re right. I’ll leave too.
No funny adventures with the boat.
Nothing about Gene and his family.
And now Ludwig walks upright as all the other comic cats.
    And then the comments …
    Shudder!

She’s been married to him for 20+ years and she’s just now figuring this out? Hardly believable Mr. Johnson.

Right! This strip is about life… the funny, the wistful, the weird, the loving… all aspects of ordinary life. And THAT is why I love it!

If anyone thinks the comments are bad, or not necessary, they can just read the strip. They do NOT have to leave!

I don’t bother with putting away seasonal clothes anymore, They just sit in the closet or drawer until I need them. A lot less hassle.

I just keep the heavy stuff at the back of my closet. Winters here in S. Texas are shorter and milder than they use to be in the years before 1980’s.
