From the salmon-colored sofa that is the center of the Arlo & Janis universe, this unique and quixotic comic strip has been just about everywhere. From unvarnished human drama to flights of unfettered comic fantasy, from unabashed pathos to unsurpassed observational wit, Arlo & Janis is perhaps the most unpigenholeable comic strip ever. It also invents new words!
The characters Arlo and Janis have played the parts of mermaids, squirrels, alligators and grasshoppers over the years, all while exploring the unexaggerated human condition and managing to become, with their son Gene, perhaps the most believable family in the funny pages. This unique approach has garnered Arlo & Janis an intelligent and engaged readership and guaranteed that a percentage of it will be confused at any given moment. However, readers eagerly return every day for another quaff from what has been the holy grail for a generation of comic-strip authors: quintessential Boomer humor.

There aren’t because they (flying saucers) aren’t.

People are too busy looking down at their phones texting to notice the UFOs.
Or anything else, like oncoming traffic.

I have a picture of Bigfoot riding The Loch Ness Monster taken from a UFO. I swapped a probe for the pic. No, don’t ask…

There is an Android app called camera360 which adds a perfect flying saucer into the sky. The taker has no idea where it came from, and doesn’t even remember seeing anything unusual until later. See

There are fewer UFOs flying today due to mergers and the price of fuel….

Most of the hubcaps are plastic, or aluminum wheels. Most garbage bins are plastic. Fewer and fewer sources for shiny metal disks…

How nice that his wife does that. I wonder if it happens in real life.

Exactly and it proves the point that ufos, big foot, nessie, et al are figments of our fertile imaginations.

Guess he never heard of stealth UFOs. Saucers supposedly have been around since about 1948 or so, you would assume they have improved their tech in 65 years or so.
