    Maeder did something new at this point. Harold Gray always had Daddy Warbucks disappear, traveling to the orient to tend to his foreign investments. Jay Maeder, on the other hand, showed us what Warbucks actually does while oversees.

    Fun stuff. And, again: why is this strip not the basis for an ongoing action-adventure TV series?!? So much potential.

    I agree on both your points. I see it as an updated Jonny Quest kind of adventure but with Annie and Sandy in the middle of it. I wonder if there is a little bit of “Annie” in Jonny Quest?
