Loved as an American icon and respected as an adventurer, Annie’s voyages pit her against some of the comics pages’ most notorious criminals. Annie’s tireless pursuit of justice has reinvigorated this classic strip, giving it more action, intrigue and curls than ever before.

Not much happens today in these two panels.

my question to all the anniefans out there is: Why have there been no strips written in the past decade? All the ones we’ve seen this year and last were dated at the turn of the Millennium through mid 2002. Is no one writing and inking the strip anymore?

I’ll let David take that one.

Actually, the comic continued into 2010, when it was cancelled. The final strip was June 13, 2010. What we have here in GoComics is a rerun of the era in which GoComics began running it, starting in 2001. Many of us are still waiting for Annie to be revived, and are reading these reruns just as a stopgap.

Did Jubal have his kneecaps when Boo Boo’s boys turned him over to the Feds?

If you look to the right under “Brewster Rocket” e-book is an i-Tunes e-book of two new Annie stories.

1st panel; Newsman looks like ol’ “Walter Crankcase” circa 1958.. “The most trusted man in America.”

AH! An answer to my question from some days ago: why are there so many Luan commenters and so few Annie comenters?
Answer: Because these are re-runs, and many people don’t come comment anymore. Just like Cathy, first there were lots of commenters, then less, now there are so few.
so sad.
