Sadly murder pre-dates firearms by a few thousand years. It is not the tool that is used that is evi, it is the wielder of the tool that is evil.
The authors of this strip have revealed the source of sin that exists in all of mankind. It is the desire that resides in men to not only to be a god unto themselves but to have our will to override the will of our creator.
