Morning, Anniephans.
Okay … What does Metalface have to do with Death Worms From Planet X?

I dunno, but it does sound like a movie he would like.

Xaxos is using the satellite to control the robotic worm used in the movie for nefarious purposes. I don’t remember what those purposes are, though.

Good morning, David. Um, it is being made by one of those rogue governments? Or citizens thereof?

I also remember the robotic worm, though not how he proposed to use it as a weapon. Of course there’s the suspension of belief factor needed for something going far underground to still respond to signals from a satellite… or has technology found a way around that?

@Trucker Ron
It introduces more points of failure, but the simple technical solution is relays. For instance, a ground based relay could translate electromagnetic signals from the satellite to coded low amplitude seismic waves. The worm could have multiple transceivers – for travelling through earth, water, and air.

Good point… I was going off my experience with my truck’s QualComm unit losing its reception when a few trees were in the way.
