Loved as an American icon and respected as an adventurer, Annie’s voyages pit her against some of the comics pages’ most notorious criminals. Annie’s tireless pursuit of justice has reinvigorated this classic strip, giving it more action, intrigue and curls than ever before.

Morning, Anniephans!
This seems inconsistent to me. Annie was brought to see her daddy in the underwater bunker about a year before. She should know that he is alive and still in hiding.
Here’s the link to Annie 2003 .

While I did not go digging around your link for Annie’s visit underground, the link takes us to Oct 2003 and this strip is dated 01/02/02, prior to that time.
But again – a lazy answer on my part.

How old is Annie supposed to be? Is Santiago her guardian?
percenez said, 9 months ago
annie has been 11 years old since 1927. I’m 64. You folks should do yourselves a favor and buy some of the collected strips from Amazon reat yourselves, especially with strips showcasing Mr. Am.

Correction: that was “Treat yourselves”.

@IGoPogo4
Annie was taken by the Asp the first time to her “daddy’s” underwater bunker in the strips done by Andrew Pepoy from March 10 to March 19 of 2001.

@marvee
Annie’s age has always been a subject of debate. She is small enough to be lifted by a grown man over his head, old enough to fall in love with a fifteen year old boy, young enough to play with dolls, and old enough to drive a jeep.

She knew he was alive then, but he was quite ill (per his words in today’s strip). With the news of his death, she may have thought the worse.

Sounds like a description of Teena in PreTeena. Her age is about 11.
If Warbucks was looking ill when she saw him a year ago there is every reason for her uncertainty if she had not heard from him since.

Teena is ten going on eleven.
