Mine too, Ollie…
Rhoda, yes you may join the Blue Circle. You’d be an asset to the group.

I think “Daddy” found some buttons.
And Margueritem, that’s just mean. I pity those poor Blue Circle jerks.

Seriously, Marg, are you trying to turn the Blue Circle EVIL?

wndwrthg, be careful how you word your sentences. Minor age children can read the comments here.
Maybe the person using the screen name of Rhoda can convince the writer and artist of the current strip to get the mean girl of “Bad Seed” to become a member of the Blue Circle. “Rhoda” was 8 years old in the original book published in 1954. That would theoretically make her 63 years old now.
The Blue Circle (which is a real and not a fictional organization) is definitely evil, in this strip anyway.
Oh, wait, since Rhoda was a murderer, maybe it was her who killed Haverhill Overhill Overdale and made it look like a suicide.

But, Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks’ vacations don’t stay peaceful for very long.

Something will interrupt Daddy’s peace and quiet within 3 strips, I predict. (Maybe longer, given the way this comic digresses from plot to intertwined plot.)

The last panel somehow brings to mind those times in the old “Rick O’Shay” strip when Hipshot would go out into the desert and commune with “Boss” in solitude.

I can’t picture Warbucks sitting still for more than two seconds.

Remember when he was in the Russian wilderness, and all he wanted was to get back to Civilization?
