This is where Time Traveling Sandy’s Trainer tells Vah-Lin-Tan to send Gronk to Ford’s Theater to stop the Lincoln Assassination.

I’m hoping she’s teleported onto the General. Then we can wrap up at least one story line.

    Obviously the gigantic dinosaur.

One does wonder, though… will Mr. Am have to return home just to sort out the mess? “Sorry, sir, but my homework ate your pet.”

@sandystrainer - you never know if that would have made things better or worse, for Lincoln even. In the Bible, Hezekiah is dying, and asks God for a reprieve. God gives him 15 more years (signified by the sundial going backward 15 degrees - reminiscent of a time machine). But during those years, Hezekiah makes all his worst mistakes. He should have quit while he was ahead.

In the case of Lincoln, he died a hero. But he was already flirting with tyranny in some of his wartime measures - and who knows what he might have succumbed to had he lived on.

Val-lin-tan is a sort of deus ex machina that generates plot twists instead of resolving them.

There is absolutely no connection between the “Annie” comic strip’s forced into retirement General Gilead V. Grimm and retired US Army General Wesley Clark.

Gen. Grimm is based on another US Military General.

I saw it coming in panel 2 of today’s strip. When did you first see it coming?

Sometime Mr. Am will have to go back to Atlantis, where he will become Mr. Was.

The Van-Lin-Tan the Roamer will become Mr. Was as well. n_n

Actually, Stuart, I think along the same line. I figure that if Booth hadn’t done it in the booth with the revolver, it would have been Lincoln and not Johnson that was the first president impeached.
