As they contentedly smoke their stogies, and watch the sun set.

Poor billionaires, being constantly oppressed by female local reporters.
Obviously Warbucks showing up in a tiny town in NM couldn’t possibly be considered newsworthy…

How old is that television? Looks like 1950s vintage. Shouldn’t even work these days without a converter box.
Time is running out if you want that $40 rebate Ollie.

The converter is hidden inside that horsie statue on top.

I was a television engineer for a few years. The gar-barge you see in this comic is really how it happens.

The “Old Broadcast Ranch” where the cowboys, Daddy Warbucks and Annie are in rural Central New Mexico is probably one of the places which uses solar energy and the TV shows are probably delivered by satellite dish.
I don’t know how the dish TV thing works; but, I only have analog TV sets and I have cable TV. I don’t have to use a converter box.

That TV news reporter must work for a Fox Network TV affiliate.

If you like Annie, and I know you do, you might want to find the Classic Phantom on the DailyInk.com They just started an origin of the Phantom story arc today. Very cool.
