The pleasure cannot be that great if all they are roasting is a calf.

Yep, Annie sangs cowgirl songs, too. I did an internet search to see if I could find a song with “I met a handsome cowboy” in the lyrics.

I ended up only finding that there is a classic Dell Comic Book with that Title.

If they are gonna roast that thar calf, they better kill it, butcher it, and start the barbecue and get it hot right now.

Well of course they’re only roasting a whole calf - there’s only five of them. Can you imagine the left-overs from roasting a whole steer?!

Anyone ever been to the Flying W Ranch just outside of Colorado Springs? It’s just like this place. They do a singing cowboy show and big chuckwagon dinner. It’s alot of fun. The best part is that it’s sincere, it’s not an act. They really do live like this, as best they can.

This story line is very much like an old 1940’s-50’s Gene Autry ( The singing cowboy) movie called “The Phantom Empire” Check it out on the internet. Thank you very much for reviving some old time storys.
