he should have a little parachute for Sandy. I don’t see how he’s going to be able to hold onto him.

Margueritem - who would pull Sandy’s little rip chord?

That guy better be a Power Lifter.
When that Chute opens the Snap will make Sandy weigh about half a ton.

doctortoon, that’ll be enough of that kind of talk. Besides, Sandy is fixed.

If at first you don’t succeed, don’t try skydiving!

Folks jump tandem with dogs all the time. All you need is a line to lower him when you land.

Hope the guy holding Sandy doesn’t “paws” too long before he jumps. If he does, that would be another “tail”.

The captain should direct the plane toward the ocean, set the autopilot, and bail out once the others are safely out.

They may have only two parachutes. If they are on radar then that will help in narrowing the search field. As soon as the others jump the pilot should confirm this to ATC or
WARNING PLOT COMPLICATION: They have not contacted ATC, they will jump, the jet will continue down range, explode, and be lost to radar at that point, thus sending searchers further afield. If the plane is over water then they will find minimal wreckage and conclude that all were lost without a trace. This will further complicate headquarters in Mexico, because Warbucks will have to make an appearance. The real Warbucks will be found, think Annie is dead and she will be on adventure getting back for some time.

The guy holding Sandy could pull it as he lets Sandy go.

I feel badly for the pilot. This is breaking my heart.

I was thinking the pilot would think that if the bomb went off while the plane was over water, there might be fewer ground casualties. On the other hand, the bomber would want the plane to go down over deep water so that an investigation would turn up less evidence.
