    Another of my favourite hobbies was making plaster of Paris casts of hands and then gilding (not geld :o) ) them with copper foil because real gold is too expensive and labour intensive
    I have one of my Dad’s hand and I think it blesses the whole house

    From just before the change……

    Yep! All set for Thanksgivukkah!

    Thanksgivukkah is Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah on Thursday, November 28 this year. This year its on the same date as a result of a rare kink between the lunisolar Hebrew calendar (whose dates reflect both the moon phase and the time of the solar year, and which can have between 353 and 385 days per year) and the Gregorian calendar. Because the calendars are not calculated the same way, Hannukah appears at a different time each year on the Gregorian calendar.

    The last time it happened since Thanksgiving was declared a U.S. federal holiday by President Abraham Lincoln was 125 years previous, in 1888. The next time will be in the year 79,811, according to quantum physicist Dr Jonathan Mizrahi The convergence jump-starts the holiday season early for millions of American Jews. Hope this isn’t too confusing, I got this off of Wiki.

    That’s really nice to have the casts of people’s hands who are in the family!

    @Gweedo Murray
    How do you determine the sex of a skull?
    Hit it with a hammer
    If the skull breaks it’s a male
    If it does not it is a female
    If the hammer breaks it’s a NUN
