Mahoney, Goldsmith & Garnett must experience the same sensation when we criticise this garbage every day.

    Bring on the classics, folks!

Yesterday I said we were going for a spin
Connie is a bit of a back seat driver
while I was going thru a two lane roundabout she yelled lookout. I slammed on the brakes and we did a 180 degree spin, luckily it was a wide area so no harm was done except for scaring the c… out of the other driver

Geez, what did she yell “lookout” for? I would have slammed on the brakes too I think. Fortunately our roundabouts are only one lane. I’ve never driven on a two lane one. I’m not a back seat driver. I just shut my eyes and hold on to something while I slam my foot on my invisible brake! LOL

Ok, today I have a story for you.

    The Bagpiper
Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of life. As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper’s cemetery in the Nova Scotia back country.

As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn’t stop for directions.

I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn’t know what else to do, so I started to play.

The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I’ve never played before for this homeless man.

And as I played “Amazing Grace”, the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished, I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car. Though my head was hung low, my heart was full.

As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, “I never seen nothing like that before and I’ve been putting in septic tanks for twenty years.”

    Apparently I’m still lost….it’s a man thing.

I HATE those roundabout things, here in Ontario they have started to build them, to save money on traffic lights (I assume), they are so dangerous, it’s like having to merge with as many as 4 other cars at the same time, and I NEVER seem to get off on the right road!!! I want the Govmt to send them all back to Europe, where they belong!

I admire you for spending time reading
I started my love for books when I was 11 but now when I start to read I nod off

If this were an anime program, Andy would sneeze.
(Apparently, the Japanese believe that if you sneeze… someone is talking about you … aaachooo!)

I’ve seen the first two movies, but I haven’t seen
“Shout At The Devil”. I’ll catch it next time it’s on TCM.
