I’ve served my time watching my son play football in the rain, snow, sleet ……….glad he didn’t go on to play college football.

And I know, Andy’s probably watching soccer right? Well, I’ve served my time there too. :)

@Linguist
Any idea how it got to be called Murphy’s?
Linguist said, 8 months ago
@afficionado
The contemporary form of Murphy’s law goes back as far as 1952, as an epigraph to a mountaineering book by Jack Sack.
( According to Wikipedia )

Until I moved to Arizona, back in 1976, I didn’t know that football ( soccer ) could be played in the sunshine.

Guess we should have lived in Arizona through those years. I’d have been lot more comfortable. Oh, then there’s our daughter playing rugby in the mud. What a mess!!

I can picture that ! My daughter never met a mud puddle she didn’t like – sports or not.
At 40, she still likes to go 4-wheeling ( the muddier the better ) and dirt-biking with her hubby.

I say bless the hearts of those adventuresome types, I’ve always liked to stay neat and clean. I think my hubby would have liked me to be a bit less……..fussy, let’s say. :)

How come Andy and Chalkie aren’t playing today?
Better question: why is the late Reg Smyth’s name STILL on the masthead instead of the current artist(s)???

@Eldo – yesterday’s (nudge-wink) comment: Nowadays, Indians seem to prefer less hirsute faces!
@Beviek : It was the least I could do for the poor child! And I am her dad’s boss!
I think the moustache however, is becoming something of a spectacle!
