    @Linguist
    can you lend me your parrot?
    since yesterday I became a pirate too because I tore a ligament in my right knee and need a crutch to walk(converted broom)
    being stubborn and stupid I did not seek medical advice
    I caused The injury by helping my son push start his car at the airport because he left his headlights on for 2 and a half hrs

    No good deed goes unpunished !
    Seriously, I hope you do get the medico to look at it and take it easy. Stay off it and alternate between heat and cold packs.
    In the future, do what I have always done. Carry a set of battery jumper cables in your trunk ( boot ). Saves the old back and legs.

    My mom’s ’92 Chrysler Fifth Avenue turns the headlights on when it gets dark and turns them off for you a short time after you turn the key off. It also opens and closes the headlight doors, as it has “hideaway” headlights.
    There is an adjustable delay where the headlights alone stay lit so you can see your way to the door of your house.
    My ’92 Jeep Cherokee (which just turned 320,000 miles/515,000 km) has a buzzer that tells me that I left the lights on. If I turn the key off before I turn the lights off, the headlights will stay lit (no other lights) for about a minute to light my way to my door.
