But Andy, you ate the biscuit just to annoy her, so you deserved it.

This strip has been around since the 50’s I think. I guess it has been fairly successful and many think it is funny.

Go have your biscuit down at the pub Andy.

Maybe it’s the ever-patient Flo that keeps us coming back each morning to check on Andy’s latest idiocy.

I dislike Andy with a passion, he’s everything a man should not be. I pity poor Flo. But for some reason I get a kick out of reading it. Maybe because most of the time I know I’d really get a kick out of kicking Andy!

I recently was able to pick up a huge stack of Andy Capp comic books that had belonged to my father in law who passed away about a year ago. My husband says he loved Andy Capp and laughed at the comic all the time. But his life was nothing like Andy Capp’s, he was a hard working man who took good care of his family. I think a lot of men read this and secretly wish they could be like Andy but know good and well their wife would never put up with that.

The strip was actually better originally. Then, Andy was even worse: smoking, flirting with girls, openly stealing money from Flo’s purse.
But Flo gave back as good as she got. She had a right hook that could have felled Muhammed Ali in his prime, and she never hesitated to use it on Andy.
Since the strip’s been resurrected, however, it has become more “politically correct”, and therefore, tamer and lamer.

A few years ago i went on that atkin’s diet. After about 3-4 days i had the most bizarre dream i ever had. I dreamt I was being chased through a neighborhood then through the woods by one of those chips ahoy cookies with the face on the edge. It kept saying “EEEAAATTTTT MEEEE!!!!”. When I’d try to hide or stop and catch my breath the cookie would pop it’s face around a corner and sceech at me again “EEEAAATTTT MMMMEEEEEE!!!!!!!!” I woke up and had to laugh.

I figure that if someone is going to go on a diet, and if it is going to work, they have to change their mindset and be determined to stick to the diet. That is what works. Seeing someone else eat something you can’t should not be a problem. If it is then the diet will fail.

Me I had a while back I had the best dream could be about chocolate. And I can’t have too much I’m a little allergic to it.
But there where all types of chocolate made different ways.
Then I had to wake up. When I see people in general eating certain foods I think what are they doing to themselves I say nothing to them and I just think I don’t want to b like them.

Andy is actually talking about eating a cookie since cookies are called “biscuits” in England.

They call “French fries” chips and potato chips ‘crisps.”
