    How do you do?

    As I stated in yesterday’s preview of today’s strip . . .

    This guy intrigues me.

    He really does.

Good Morning Benders, John Wooley, and readers of Alley Oop. I love how most of the signs in the studio are just nailed-on pieces of paper.. Another sign of temporary usage
of a studio On the positive side Ooola is happy, so as long
as the studio is not a cover for organized crime or foreign spies, we have a adventure.

The “Extras, eh?” reminds me of an incident a friend of mine ran into while jogging in the Beverly Hills area. Jogging while Black in this area made him doubly suspicious to the local police and they stopped him for questioning. He confessed to being a UCLA student studying chemistry. The doubtful officer decided to put this claim to a test and demanded: “Chemistry, eh? .. What’s H2O?” (This was 40 years ago. MAYBE things have got a little better.)

Keltner, eh? Why does that name sound familiar to me?

Perhaps you’re thinking of Jim Keltner, the famous session drummer who has played on albums by Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Delaney Bramlett, John Lennon, Plastic Ono Band, George Harrison, Traveling Wilburys, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, The Manhattan Transfer, Steve Miller Band, Gary Lewis & the Playboys, Neil Young, Sheryl Crow, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Harry Chapin, Joe Cocker, J J Cale.
