    Good Morning!

Hope you’re right, Alley, ‘cause Tunk’s got plans for Ooola and they’re not nice at all!

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 21 “Dead To Rites” (64) 4/8/2014 Tuesday

After losing the Luaxana terrorists a prayer is said over the burnt remains of the two soldiers in the half melted and twisted wreck of the HUMVEE. Then it is covered. They wait for a detail to arrive to take it away. In the mean time Dr. Tyler Tucker has an unspoken mission he would like to finish before they must leave. capt. Ming-Na isn’t happy with it. Doc Wonmug understands Dr. Tucker’s wish, but he reminds him it isn’t part of their own mission.
Inside the Wanderer in the first part of the large vehicle Dr. Wonmug, and Dr. Tucker are in a terse discussion. Not an argument, but beginning to approach it in heat. Ming-Na is in the control cabin of their CV-17 lifter having no time for this.
“But Elbert it has been wandering these areas for over 50 years.Isn’t it time we give this thing the kind of oblivion it needs?” Tucker told him.
Wonmug used his right hand to rub under his white beard as he is wont to do when things get tense. “We could get the go order and destination at any time…”
“We still can’t leave till the funeral detail arrives to take the bodies. We can use that time. My ecto-sensors have been tracking it since we got here. My own equipment calibrated by myself have pinpointed an ectoplasmic mass of non-human origin in the 540 gve’s range on the Giegameter.”
“But it can’t harm anyone can it?”
“No, it doesn’t have the kind of power that would make it so. Still a sensitive person would feel it in the area. Maybe even night terrors from its non-human influences when their guard is down.”
Doc Wonmug’s features Soften. “Okay Tyler, do it quick, for the time you do have.”

540 is very big. Like the size of a rather large house.

Hmmm, it’s not like Oop hasn’t been to Lem numerous times in the past. He and Guz were held captive in a cage right close to the Tunks palace. Another time he became king of Lem for a short time and sat on the throne. Very hard to believe that he’s having trouble finding the palace again, especially since we saw the road was clearly marked with signs a couple of months ago as he rode into town. So he’s “finally gettin’ somewhere”?

    Morning, Oopsters.
Maybe he’ll make it in a month or so.

Ever since Tunk hired that new director of highways, Dr. Möbius, invaders have had a hard time finding the palace, despite the signage. I expect this plot line will go around and around a bit more before moving on…

Alley should be thinking, rather than speaking, his dialogue in panel 2.

It looks like the Benders are stalling.
At least Night-Gaunt’s story is progressing, with a nice side-venture.

it looks like Ooola is actually eating the stew! spit it out! throw the bowl on the ground! why is she so meekly cooperating? maybe it tastes like chocolate…

Nooooooooooooo, don’t eat the red berry soup, but maybe just maybe it is chocolate. But to find out , she still has to eat it, maybe, she can fake a fainting and drop the bowl.

Oop isn’t looking for “the Palace” … he’s looking for Ooola … Oop doesn’t know Ooola is at “the Palace”
So finding a clearing ahead is “gettin’ somewhere”? It appears that he is on a path so he’s already “somewhere”. LOL

Good Morning Benders and readers of Alley Oop. Poor
Alley hasn’t seen a marker pointing him to the Lemmian palace for at least 50 feet. I wonder if he’s found any of the torn off pieces of Ooola’s dress she dropped on the path fro Alley to find. King Tunk’s rubbing his hands together as his
excitement for his plan is building. A evil laugh is sure to come.
