    Good Morning!

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 21 “Dead To Rites” (27) 2/27/2014 Thursday

At the ghost town of Bedrock in Arizona, shaman Jim Elkhorn has been in it for a day looking it over and marking where the grave of Dr. Deemer is and setting some traps. He feels the presences of others here, not all of them were once human. One of them is so large he keeps looking over his shoulder expecting to see if its evanescent bulk ambling his way. Shivers or was that just the cold rush of air from the shaded canyons? "This is the worst yet Kolchak, " he said to himself.

He hears voices echoing off the crumbling buildings. He moves to find a place to hide to see if these are the ones who have been going across the country looting graves.

He can’t take them on, but he can take good digital photos of them to use facial recognition to maybe find out who these people are an work for. (Kolchak knows lots of people in the “Occult Underground” including a young computer whiz named Dexter Jones.) They must be really sure of themselves here to come out and do their dirty deeds in the brightness of day, he thought.

So I assume they keep large amounts of tar around just for this purpose? And also, I guess the ditches just happen to be in place across the road to the palace? Wasn’t Oop already riding Dinny at a gallop into Lem City awhile back?

One other observation, I guess in Moo and Lem also, the English alphabet characters are in use like modern times, with the exception of the always backwards “E”….

The king of Lem has a palace? I don’t think the king of Moo has a palace. No fair!

Good morning Benders and readers of Alley Oop. So
King Tunk chose the palace defense. From his dust drawings you can tell he has been planning for the
possibility of a incursion by Alley for a long time. It’ll
take tome to implement his plan, time he probably will
not have. With Ooola in plain sight she is not going to
be able to sneak away unfortunately.

Alley and Dinny are probably closer to the palace than where Tunk wants the tarpit.

Yes, they do. It’s a cave, but they call it a palace.

    Morning, Oopsters.
Can you imagine how many men it will take to move that much tar? And how much time it will take? Ha!
