    Good Morning, Literature Lovers!

Looks like we’re in for a bit of a lesson on today’s strip.

Maybe not. But it sure is fun.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 20 “The Coup in Moo Falls Mainly on Oop”(81) 11/5/2013 Tuesday

The alarm goes out and Alley is ready. But like in hunting one must be patient and choose the battle. Better than letting the animal or your enemy choose for you.

Above Sheema in orange skins and platinum hair in a long Mohawk riding her hellion red bird dino is in the lead with two wing women.

It is Sheema who sees the crumpled heap of bird and woman where Alley left them. Her bird had alerted her to it, then she whistled and gestured to dive to land, the other two follow her down.

    Morning, Oopsters.
In the bottom corner it says “cont. 11-6.” Evidently we’re going to have a history lesson all this week. Yawn. Maybe next week Carole will do something original.

It would be a welcome change from all of the politics that goes on over on the Editorial Comics. Yes I know, that is the very purpose of the Editorial Comics, but it does get terribly tiresome, every one in awhile!!

What’s wrong with a history lesson? Some folks need to bone-up on their history. Might help us break the cycle of repeating our mistakes.

Thank you Benders! This was a great story. It was well drawn and well written. The history recap looks like it will be fun! Thanks again!

I’m with you on that, and anyone who is bored should just go skydiving or something while we enjoy this comic.

We shall see if any new nuggets are unearthed in the wind down. It never hurts to learn, or shouldn’t.

Now you know better that that! Of course we will repeat our mistakes. But it would be a change to at least find new mistakes.

I think one of the most amazing – and amusing – experiences I ever had as a teacher was hearing the individual who – after something over a week spent on the subject of the 2nd Council of Nicea, and the final selection of materials that became the “Canon of Scriptures for Use in Public Worship” throughout the then known Christian Church – when asked a question about some assertions he made, concerning the origin of the Bible, casually informed the class: “I don’t believe in history”.
    ^
Although I have to agree with the poster, “Night-Gaunt49”, that it " . . . never hurts to learn, or shouldn’t"; nevertheless, I do recall two axioms – or cliches, or . . . whatever – that still apply: 1. “Those who don’t want to learn, won’t.” 2. “Those who know all there is to know about everything already, can’t”.
    ^
But, riding around on dinosaurs, back when Alley and I were young, was certainly lots of fun!

But she is not actually Mrs. Shelley yet in the summer of 1816.
