    Good Morning, Alleygators and Oopsters!

Love the Sunday recap which includes the Monday preview!

Since not all newspaper that do carry Alley Oop carry both the weekday and Sunday strips, this is why these recaps happen.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 20 “The Coup in Moo Falls Mainly on Oop”(68) 10/20/2013 Sunday

Alley can just barely see he has hit on target. Or more correctly the intersection of the bird and its rider with the club’s trajectory.

Dinny was sniffing him and making moaning sounds over Alley who feels like he has been bitten by a swarm of vung and partially paralyzed.
“It’s okay boy, just feeling the cold snap is all.” He tried to calm Dinny who finally shook off the ice.

The double thumps of the girl and her ice breathing lizard followed by the heavier thump of his club hitting the earth near him was all he needed to know. He got her!

In the strip, looks like they are out in the open yet Oop’s chest is dry.
    .
Does the double thump mean they are dead ?  A fall from high, at speed, would surely do me in.

Two bodies hitting the ground so there is excellent chance of death. They were traveling rather fast and the impact from Alley’s club was enough to do the job all by itself without the fall.

Lord have mercy-will he live? Are
his eyes open in the “Death Stare”?
I have seen that. They are sightless, gazing
    down the halls of eternity.

    Morning, Oopsters.
It looks like Doc has dragged Oop’s body into the cave where it is dry, although we didn’t see him actually do it.

I believe that Doc did drag him into the DRY cave, I’m sure that they wouldn’t be able to put everything in the strip, somethings are left to your imageation. Have faith guys, OOP will live again, after all the strip is named after him.

Good Morning Benders, John Wooley and readers of Alley Oop. Doc and Alley look to me like they are still outside.
Reading up on defibrillators, I was impressed that they no longer need to use gel to make good connection for the paddles. It doesn’t appear that Doc ever checked for a
pulse, just looked to see if breathing. Well as long as the defibrillator is out, might as well use it. I’m sure that Mary’s
heard of electricity. Talk of electricity and the invention of the
lightning rod swept the world. Benjamin Franklin did say
that turkeys that had been struck by lightning had a better taste.

No they can’t put everything in the strip, so the story can move along smartly <grin, duck , run>

Seeing a little roof outline at the top of the panel would surely help to indicate that.

the trauma to the body and damage to internal organs from a fall of that height would be to drastic for a defibrillator to be of much use — but ok we’ve known for months how this story is going so

    zzzzzzzzzzaaaaaappppaazzzaaappp!!

No, that’s just not true. The Benders have been downsizing their output for years and this is just an attempt to further cut down on their workload.

It has been a really odd rain, always in the distant and not a very hard rain. You should see how Hamlin drew his rainstorms. They look bibical.

The point is that it should look like something more than a sixth grader would draw. Jack is an alleged professional.
