    Oh, yeahhh…at last. She is
    approaching. Hallelujah.
    Careful, Alley.
    Yeah, and I
was kind of thinking , about that cave. It’s
    a shelter but possibly
    a disaster , as well.

If Alley climbing triggers a rock
slide, it could cover the mouth
    of the cave.
Does Doc have water? What about air
supply, in that cave? And who (or what)
are in there with him? If he has air,
    might get some
heat, light going if there is any wood, kindling…

    he has rocks for flint.
    Let’s see where this goes.

in his magic pocket where he frequently puts it.

Observation this morning; could be that Mary will be the one hit by lightning and needs help by the strange people.

Interesting that the ‘continuity’ critics so far haven’t commented on the direction of the rain…. in one panel it is coming at her face and the next panel coming from behind…. I personally don’t care ‘cause it’s a “strip”, but the critics usually jump all over that one…. gotta be Friday I guess.

Good Morning Benders, John Wooley, and readers of Alley
Oop. So Doc has moved into the cave out of the rain.
Perhaps he should graciously offer to share the cave with
Mary Godwin but if he does he had better hide that the recording electronic device. Letting her see it would, once
again, puts at risk the time stream. He also better not hold it outside too high, it would be a great target for lightning.

Why is a question Mary is going to be asking all her life. She is not going to like the answers.

why doesn’t mary just ask doc what’s going on?

looking at the way her face is drawn: in panel she looks like a young 19-old, in panel she looks much much older. admittedly she’s frowning, but i’ve noticed this inconsistency in the way her face is depicted throughout this story. just my observation, not complaining.

Doc will say, after Alley gets hit with lightning, “He’s alive. He’s alive.”
And Mary will think lightning made a dead man (that was in her mind dug up) to live.

He stuck it in his pocket. Or did you think he was glad to see you?

    From another board:
“Only a moron falls back on that “It’s only a comic” line. When movie critics see a bad film, they point out plot inconsistencies, poor dialog and bad writing. By your “logic” we shouldn’t be able to critique film because “it’s only a movie!!!” If we accept your stupid argument, we invalidate all criticism of any medium. No one can ever say “this was a poorly written novel, because none of the characters had any motivation for what they did and the plot didn’t make any sense” because Ken can just come along and say “But it’s ONLY a NOVEL!!! !”
