    GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!

I apologize for not commenting yesterday, but I was asleep by the time the strip came out.

    In any case . . .

Now that Doc and Alley are at work, if Mary shows up, as she definitely will any time now, things could get, as I mentioned before, complicated.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 20 “The Coup in Moo Falls Mainly on Oop”(22) 9/5/2013 Thursday

When the itching starts Alley grabs his heavy club tighter than before looking around him then he sees the door shaking as if something is pounding it. He suspects one or more of the inhuman guards have noticed him here. Then the door is ripped off its hinges by the larger second set of arms on the Xooloo. Right after the forelimbs that have crab claws reaching out to him. He has to break cover fast.

Alley runs right in front of the thrones. Wootiewoot doesn’t look much different except for a dead calm manner looking past him. Like the joy has been drained out of her. Eeny looks right through him like daggers. Or one of Doc Wonmug’s old LASERs.

“There you are you traitor!” Eeny accused him, steely eyed and excited. The two creatures squeeze through the door way and come into view. The battles in the arena continue on.

“Just in time for the games. We can have a special on you.” Eeny grinned. She has been grinning and smiling with each conquest. She hasn’t felt this happy since Moo fell in less than a day.

Giants from Hell that are ravenous for human flesh. Worms with claws also of an unknown species and are giants still surviving in the subterranean area under the hills for millions of years in their own ecology. Till 1957 when earth movements caused by a volcano opened a pocket of them and they went free to forage on the surface in Mexico.

Don’t contaminate the soil by touching it with your bare hand, Alley.
You’ll have them wondering how primitive DNA played into the equation.

This group figured out this whole story right from the beginning—almost from the time the date and location of the proposed time trip was mentioned.

You’re right. It shows how shallow Carole’s stories have become. I’m still hoping for a non-sequitur to interpose itself, but I doubt Carole can accomplish it.

I still find it hard to understand how Mary could climb up that mountain without the proper gear. Of course. since this is a cartoon universe, anything is possible! Maybe Mary Shelly she will use her umbrella in the same manner that Mary Poppins used her umbrella and just “fly” up to where Alley and Doc are located!

Now that would be totally surreal.

That should have read “from dusk to dawn.”

Good Morning Benders, John Wooley, and readers of Alley Oop. Doc is acting more like Dr Frankenstein and Alley like Igor. Alley get me a soil sample The dripey goo could
contain some volcanic ash. which absorbs water. If you have large concentrations of volcanic ash with rain you could have what happened, at Clark U.S. Air Force Base in
the Philippines, during the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in 1991.
The wet ash had the consistency of wet cement and was so heavy on the top of airplane hangers that it caused the building to collapse.

Maybe we will get to see a gnome from Zurich visiting that part of the country. That would be an interesting twist.

Considering it its Switzerland maybe they will come across a sleeping Tazelwurm.
