Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 19 “The Savage Land of Promise”(17) 6/24/2013 Monday

    Panel One

In some other dimensional realm or even between them the enigma that has been mistaken for St. Nicholas conferred with his technical-adept Yah-Lin-Tan who came from the fabled Pan-Oh-Hai and with several of the cute but intelligent humanimals that attend Mr. Am. Who seems to traverse space-time-vug without much in the way of apparatus.¥
“How goes the construction Yah?” He asked expectantly.

    Panel Two

The wizened ancient with yellowed parchment skin and wispy long mustache answered in a soft but strong voice, “It is proceeding well, we should have the displacer up and running in no less that 49 hours.”

    Panel Three

“Is there no way to have it completed faster?” He asked gently.
“Unlike you I can’t bend the laws of physics and 49 hours is the shortest amount of time.” He finished jaw set and looking adamant.

    Panel Four

“Pish-tosh,” he dismissed," I can enfold a s-t-v vacuole and you can have your 49 hours and we can have it ready by tomorrow noon.@
“Fine, fine,” Yah-Lin-Tan waved away as he loped back to his work, his orange robe one of the bright colors in that place they are presently in.

¥ Pan-Oh-Hai in China went out of existence thousands of years ago and where the infamous Dr. Lao came from.
@ Time runs differently with in such a vacuole and Mr. Am can set its temporal speed to any timing he desires.

Insensitive! This from a guy who stampeded wild dinosaurs down Main Street because he was angry about not being invited to an impromptu party!

Wrong, Doowee, it is the Benders who are “out cold”.

Another plan to get out of the pit, even with the help of an ailing Guz?

I think some of the folks are right about DooWee’s partners showing up! DooWee begins to look more and more like one of the Three Stooges every day. DooWee’s schemes are even beginning to sound more like The Three Stooges. The Stooges had a lot of slapstick in their comedy routines – and getting everyone knocked around in the pit is beginning to look like slapstick.

Good morning Benders and readers of Alley Oop. Wizer
showing a more compassionate side today, must be the pit effect. Unfortunately it has had the opposite affect on Doowee. He is being even less of a mensch today.
(Mensch-Yiddish, meaning a person of integrity and honor)"
Using a person conscious, unconscious, or dead, it makes no difference to Doowee if it accomplishes his goals.

Doowee definitely is a lawyer of the ambulance chaser school. He is only interested in what benefits him and no so interested in the welfare of his clients.

Awhile back someone suggested that the Benders might have had a bad legal situation, and that it was a motive for bringing in Doowee. Over the past few weeks, it seems like they have brought defamation of character to a new level with the legal profession.
Only Al Capp could do something like that. Perhaps the world needs a good lawyer cartoon?
