Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 18 “The Everlasting Man-thing”(16) 3/28/2013 Friday

    Panel One

The passengers, including Alley Oop, had disembarked into the wet heat and perfumed breeze of the island. They pass a verdigrised dark greenish bronze sculpture of a sea god like Poseidon meets an octopus but with bat wings. Weird. The legend under it states this is a representative of the “Kurulu,” master of the air and water.

    Panel Two

To Alley no stranger than of his time. Only such things may have existed. Even so he dons his sun glasses and strolls onward to get some water then to tour the island’s ruins.

    Panel Three

Less than 5 miles away and the “Roxton” CofU craft is wobbly still, Jinx is finding that autopilot held it more steady than both of them at the controls so she hits the switch again.

    Panel Four

“Down load the specifics of the island and our friend in the hold to our iPAADs.” Jinx recommended to Corinne. Before they have the bad landing.

Well the explanation doesn’t exactly match Wizer’s anger at not being invited to an impromptu party that anyone could join. But it still fits his character.

    No, a rather tame denouement.

all people who went to the party KNEW it was an open party, which Wizer should have known and joined in

Regardless of all the negative comments generated during this story arc (and I’ll confess that I’ve made a few myself), I think that many parts of this story arc were very entertaining. I hope the Benders can at least do as well with their next story arc.

I called this one wrong. I still think it’s out of character for the Wizer to confess without spinning it to make himself look good. That said, overall this has been a very entertaining story. Keep up the good work.

Not near as entertaining as the comments, which is why many of us come here. This story had the redeeming virtue of being not quite as lame as most we’ve seen from the Benders lately.

Wizer is using the “I” word and taking plenty of blame and coming clean on the poor pitiful me feelings. I am impressed.

I must agree that this story went well, as far as what the Benders can give us. Let us hope the next story arc is even better.

I am surprised at Wizer’s honesty, too.

Good morning Benders and all Alley Oop readers. The Wizer was mad because he didn’t get invited to a party, a detail which the Benders seem to have forgotten. Hopefully all the men characters are through actiing like little kids and we can have an entertaining story.

Is the Wizer Barack Obama ?
    I know NOT
    But this, I do know.
In any nation NO ONE MAN can be responsible for everyones safety.
This “one man” concept is NOT good.
Everyone must have this responsibility, NOT just the state..
Enough of this….I despise todays safety, security, privacy mania…
    I hate mania and extremism.
What we need is balance and reasonableness.
