Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 17 “Deader Than Dead”(40) 3/11/2013 Monday
Panel One
Three vampires; one a clone of Alley Oop, the other two-a male and female velociraptor, regenerated, infected and sent by Dr. Dark to eradicate Alley Oop for his interference awhile back. But where are they now? No sign other than some smudge marks from cinders and charring of skin and spots of blood.
Panel Two
What Dr. Dark didn’t know that there was a ghost in the mix, a powerful one who decides he wants that clone as his new organic body. Baron Felix Mommeray von Clace (1888-1957), found dead in the House of the Worm standing up. Killed in some unknown fiendish way by the extraterrestrial entity that resided under and through the ancient Dutch mansion. Now he is free and has assessed that Brucutu is the one for him. Powerful in ways a normal human body could not be. Ideal vessel.
Panel Three
It happened when Brucutu was at the door and several of the soldiers shot him in the head three times. It was the interruption of the mind-body link that gave the ectoplasmic Baron his chance! With his altered vision he could see the matrix of energies in Brucutu’s mind darken momentarily. Just before the vampire organism started the quick repairs. The closest soldier died under the flip down fangs of the two velociraptors. Shard had been burned so Thorn let her feed and with each drawing in of the blood, her burned skin healed and the dead tissue fell way revealing new scales of repaired skin in minutes. First a pink color then darken to lavender and soon a normal dark purple.
Panel Four
When Brucutu got up minutes later he was a new man———vampire. More than a shadowing, a melding. The blocks in the mind put there by Dr. Dark so painstakingly to keep Brucutu on task were rendered inoperative or gone. Now the body was his and all that the brain of Brucutu knows—-he knows. Staying here is not what is wanted by the new and improved Baron von Clace. So he tells his minions to follow him back outside. He can contact the BES’s to open and close the bulkhead doors as he needs them to get out the fastest way. he also must dodge Alley Oop in his rolling panzer of white hot death.
At the size Oop is here, it would appear that the T Rex is probably twice the size of Dinny. No perspective issue here since they are both the same distance from the viewer. Oop doesn’t appear so small compared to Dinny when he’s onboard him.
Gweedo_Murray, you’re right. Sherpa costs about $100.00 a year. There may be other catches, as well. Still a better deal than going it alone.
The basic cost for a site at 1&1.com is $10.00/month. There are other “ups and adds” that quickly run the price to $18.00/month. A lot depends on a subscriber’s skill, and willingness to deal with code.
I’m sure there are cheaper outlets than either of these. The point is, outlets exist for artists to show their work.
Good Morning Benders and all. As the benders used Saturdays panels on Sunday, it was to be expected that new or at least modfied panels would appear today. Guz gets wrong as usual. He’ll probably next order the Wizer to make a potion to control the dinos
