Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 17 “Deader Than Dead”(39) 3/10/2013 Sunday
Panel One
They race along avoiding the fallen, the driver knows the whole layout of Area 49, they head to the control room where the General and Dr. Wonmug are at.
Panel Two
The grayish-white smoke was clearing as were the white hot motes from the white phosphorous and found the bulk head door still closed. Some how it didn’t open for the vampire trio.
Panel Three
There seem to be survivors some of them armed. But how?
That’s some chintzy Sunday recap. 5 panels and the last two are from yesterday…Jeez! Whoever only gets the Sunday strip is getting the Cliff’s Notes version.
I assume those pouncies deals are from the Dinos chasing the Wizer? Otherwise, they are a bit of a non sequitur….Not sure how surprised we will be, Carol telegraphs her punches a week or two in advance.
Of course I know, but Alley was asking to himself since it is so very different from his and theirs most immediate experience. You will find out soon what happened.
I predict that tomorrow’s strip will be panel 2 from Friday, showing Oop bonking the Rex on top of the head, and today’s final panel, which was panel 2 from Saturday. Any bets?
The only bet I’ll take is that Alley will be blamed for the Dino apocalypse! I just wonder if Wizer will actually confess to his crime. That aside, this story arc is/was enjoyable! Hope to see more work of this kind…
Good Morning Benders and readers of Alley Oop. Guz and the Wizer are doing a slow stride to the aide of Alley. By the time they get there Alley will have incapacitated the T-Rex and Dinny will have rounded up the other Dinos. I was a bit surprised that the 2 frames from Saturday were included the the Sunday strip. It remains to be seen what will be used in the Monday strip. it is usual that Guz jumps to the wrong conclusion about Alley involvement even while Alley and Dinny are saving Moo’s hide but will the Wizer correct him? It’s Daylight Savings times It’s when the government steals a hour of your life. messes around with it till November then gives it back to you with the phrase good as new. Have a good one.
This week set a new low for output from the creative team of Carole and Jack Bender. Only 8 panels for the week – 8! There was no dialogue on Tuesday, just 11 words on Wednesday. It was hard to recap a week where nothing happened yet they did. Good work, Benders!
I keep thinking that they can’t do any less and then they prove me wrong. Not only a repaet on Monday but then on Tuesday and finally nothing new at all today. That’s three days where they didn’t bother to do anything. I’ll say it can’t get worse but it just might.
