A couple of days ago one commenter here decried the fact that the Benders don’t seem to be holding to a high enough standard of art. I guess art is pretty much what we want it to be.

Pablo Picasso produced many works in a variety of media. His Guernica is at once fascinating, disgusting, compelling and scary. The perspective sucks.

I read Alley Oop for fun, not because I expect to find some universal truth previously hidden from humanity. It’s a comic strip, after all.

Incidentally, for those of you who missed it, shotguns are measured in gauge, not gage.

Shades of Ron Weasley and the Troll! Now Alley has to stick his ax handle up T-Rex’ nostril.

Apropos occasional lapses in continuity and occasional imperfections in the artwork:

Your daily Alternate Oop chapter is an exercise in self indulgent narcissism, yet we don’t critique it. How about you stop whining about the real strip every single day? Unless you plan on reanimating Hamlin’s corpse, this is the Oop we got, and some of us are happy with it. Quit screaming for attention.

Jack and Carol Bender are commended for “bringing back” the Alley Oop of old. Thank You! Thank You! for for the last few episodes showing the way Alley Oop was 65 years ago. Please keep it this way.

Did the dinos get bigger adn Alley get smaller? Must be Wizer elixir—one pill makes you smaller, one pill makes you larger….

this is a comic strip, part of the comic comes from silly drawing, some more comic comes from odd storyline. Put it all together and you have a entertaining comic. Weather I personally like it or not does not matter, as I am only one of the many readers.

I still say one has to give Night-Gaunt49 credit for putting his money where his mouth is. Instead of simply complaining he offered an alternative. The comments section is for readers to express themselves. I’d have to suggest that folks like Chconfer should go away instead of suggesting others go away. NIght-Gaunt49 has always been civil. If you disagree with his comments you are certainly free to post your own, just follow his example and keep it civil.

Anonymity and narcissism are not mutually exclusive. The label fits.

Good morning Benders and all. Alley shows he is adept is vine swinging and the smile on Dinnys face shows he
knows the T-Rex is going to have a headache really soon. The topography around Moo must consist of rolling hills in
part, thus we are always see height differences of strip
depictions of dinos based on positions on the hills,
    flatlands and distance.

Side note Comments are heating up again All I can say
is, keep it cool There are a diversity of opinions presented
on this strip. If you don’t agree with the opinions present
your own. At the table of viewpoints no one viewpoint is more relevant than another.
I did enjoy the the challenge so I’ll issue one of my own if the Benders draw the strip for another 25 years, I quit commenting on Alley Oop when they quit the strip at that time.

Size-changing is pretty common in fiction, as one can see in King Kong movies…
