Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 17 “Deader Than Dead”(34) 3/6/2013 Wednesday
Panel One
Alleys AA-12 auto shotgun barked but the fiendish creatures dodged his shots! They were formidable as normal velociraptors but the added vampire strength, tissue regeneration and speed made it near impossible to get a good hit.
Panel Two
Brave men and women are falling, even with their improved armor, their limbs are still open to be broken by the enormous muscular power and talons to be torn asunder by these blood suckers of the night. Any exposed areas are stabbed and slashed by claws an teeth.
Panel Three
Alley and another make it into the BFV just in time. Even the vampires can’t get to them. The 50 Gecal 50 tries to hit the monsters but they are too fast and just go on away from them bouncing off the walls. However Brucutu lingers for a bit to tell Alley something.
Panel Four
“Ally Oop, my master/ Dr. Dark sends his regards. Stay in there, I have other things I will do here, then you will be the last. After they are all dead there will be only you.” Then the creature with his distorted face laughed and laughed showing two long fangs and a lolling dark red tongue amid the rest of his square teeth. Alley felt fear now, fear for his friends and all those working here. All because of him.
A couple of days ago one commenter here decried the fact that the Benders don’t seem to be holding to a high enough standard of art. I guess art is pretty much what we want it to be.
Pablo Picasso produced many works in a variety of media. His Guernica is at once fascinating, disgusting, compelling and scary. The perspective sucks.
I read Alley Oop for fun, not because I expect to find some universal truth previously hidden from humanity. It’s a comic strip, after all.
Incidentally, for those of you who missed it, shotguns are measured in gauge, not gage.
Your daily Alternate Oop chapter is an exercise in self indulgent narcissism, yet we don’t critique it. How about you stop whining about the real strip every single day? Unless you plan on reanimating Hamlin’s corpse, this is the Oop we got, and some of us are happy with it. Quit screaming for attention.
I’ve been accused of that. It is false but then for some reason you and others can’t enjoy it. - You should have seen what they were doing to Dick Tracy before the new team came in to save it back in 2011. - How about this, I’ll stop finding flaws in the present Alley Oop when the Benders end their abuse of the strip and are replaced by competent people. In the mean time I’m putting up on showing there could be better stories. That isn’t whining. And since I am anonymous it is hardly narcissism is it?
Jack and Carol Bender are commended for “bringing back” the Alley Oop of old. Thank You! Thank You! for for the last few episodes showing the way Alley Oop was 65 years ago. Please keep it this way.
this is a comic strip, part of the comic comes from silly drawing, some more comic comes from odd storyline. Put it all together and you have a entertaining comic. Weather I personally like it or not does not matter, as I am only one of the many readers.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.

Alley just shrinking again or is Red Rex getting larger. One size doesn’t seem to be in Jack’s ability these past weeks.
