Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 17 “Deader Than Dead”(22) 2/22/2013 Friday
Panel One
Brucutu, the vampire clone of Alley Oop and his vampire velociraptors, have now teleported away from the wrecked shell of the “House of the Worm” as they follow Alley’s previous adventures.
Panel Two
He has his mission as given to him by Dr. Dark’s machines when he gestated and them in artificial wombs back at the Transylvanian labs in the new nation of Belo-Rada. (What else is Dr. Dark cooking up in those labs?)
Panel Three
Lavainge sees them and shouts to Alley to wait up, she has something for him.
Hope his bird hat doesn’t get trampled. Years ago, his hat got destroyed and Oop, Ooola and the Wizer had to go to some far off area where that particular kind of bird lived and get a new one.
Let’s see. This is Friday. We can expect tomorrow’s strip to show no development to the weak plot. Sunday will be a recap, ending with Wizer shouting “Alley Oop!” Monday will repeat Sunday’s final two panels and maybe Tuesday we’ll see what happens.
I don’t see any complaining about the pace of the stories in other strips, just this one. That tells me that the problem is the Benders, not the commenters here.
This is the part where the storyline weakens and is drawn out like thin gruel. I would have liked Wizer to have been successful then Alley Oop comes in and gets captured, escapes then rallies and frees the people of Moo. Too bad nothing close will happen.
How can one enjoy a strip that has been ruined by mediocre writers? One can’t, need to replace them with a more capable, energetic, better story tellers. But some people just like this low grade of story.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
