Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 17 “Deader Than Dead”(12) 2/12/2013 Tuesday
Panel One
Alley, back in his time, goes to see what the big deal is about Wizer. He is such an angry old troll most of the time it is hard to believe that so many villagers are seeing him for a good reason. King Guz said even from other villages like Lem and even Atl!
Panel Two
Alley sees the crowd, surrounding the entrance to “The Great Wizer’s” abode. A good natured crowd, some of them look injured. This is more and more puzzling.
Panel Three
He pushes his way to the front and sees a spectacle almost too strange to believe. Wizer has a golden glow around him and his arms are raised. A tiny child is suspended in the air and also has that glow.
Panel Four
The golden aura is getting so bright he can’t see Wizer or the child. Then in fades away and the child lowers gently to the mother’s arms.
I guess your attitude is a sign of this era. 30 minute resolution of a problem from TV programs. Instant results from computer programs and search engines may have removed the satisfaction of waiting for a story to unfold and reveal itself in a timely manner. Expecting for a story to wind up quickly from a 3 to 4 panel a day comic strip is like planting the seed today and expecting a ripe tomato tomorrow.
Good morning Benders and all. I hate to say it, but I agree with Dinny “yawn”. This story could have have been much stronger than it is turing out to be.
Good Morning to the Benders and the readers of Alley Oop So the Wizer’s potion is putting Dinny to sleep. This is probably because his brain is closer to the humans than to the other dinos. It would be interesting to see if Guz is affected by the potion.
You have just repeated what’s been said here dozens of times, that I know of. Probably many dozens. Ironic, isn’t it — I mean your redundant complaint about redundant comics. <.> Here’s a simple suggestion: either read only the dailies; or, read only the Sunday edition. It’s not hard, if you try.
What the Benders are doing is lazy or just beyond their competence to do. Why I do my “Alternate Alley Oop.” True no illustrations but I do include information so you can imagine it.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
