Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 17 “Deader Than Dead”(1) 2/1/2013
Panel One
IN the Carpathian mountains the sinister Dr. Dark is finishing the first phase of his plot to get back at Alley Oop and his friends for their interference before. He had his man Iron Palm take a tissue sample from Alley Oop for him to combine with vampire virus type 5 and incubated and grown quickly in one of his axolotl bionic wombs. Along with that he used regenerative resurrection on two reanimated velociraptors and took tissue samples from them and mixed it with vampire virus type 3 to be his “dogs.” Not just growing but also education are done in vitro so that when he comes and the other two come out they will know all they need for their mission.
Panel Two
Dr. Dark surmised that this team, this particular combination of vampirized man and animal should produce the optimum result of success. Speed, stealth and irresistible force to smash any that will get into their way.
Panel Three
Back at Greenlight base at Area 49, the last of the trucks and base personnel return. The only ones remaining are the TexComm mercenaries who refuse to retreat in the face of a superior foe. The worm hole is shut down and the location coordinates to Earth 2 cannot be inputted again. No way back or out for them, the block heads! (That strange organic material blocking the worm hole ring just dried up and crumbled away.)
Panel Four
Everyone is being debriefed and Alley is quite hungry and his feet are itching again. Something evil is lurking nearby. But where?
Back in the good old days the strip would rip along at something faster than slog. Things would happen and I would laugh out loud now and again. These people are just getting paid to do the least amount of work they can pass off. I been looking more at the comments than for the strip but I think I am going to delete it from my list of bookmarks of strips to follow ….
Good morning Benders and all. While the boys talk, the Wizer keeps working on his evil brew. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring. Great work, Benders!
Instead of watching Wizer brew his potion, we get to see Alley and Rhymey in boring and repetitive conversation as the stupid floating leaves magically appear. It really is amazing that the Benders keep their jobs.
Good Morning Benders and all. The dialogue is a littile slow today. Alley should see if he has a rubber ball left and then stop into the Wizer’s place to award it to him. Thus the excuse to visit the Wizer.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
