This is a reminder-
There are still newspapers that carry the “Alley Oop”strip but not all of them carry the sunday strip, and among those that carry the Sunday strip are those that may noy carry the weekday strip, hence the Monday recap.
Thank you.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 16 “Earth 2 Crisis”(38) 1/7/2013
Panel One
“Sir, the emergency bulkhead doors have closed and no power to open them. No way to cut through them.” Said an MP to General Mann.
Panel Two
“Strangest thing Doctor, no power yet we get air flow and all the food dispensaries, flush toilets and fresh water systems still works.” General Mann related to Dr. Wonmug.
Panel Three
Scratching his nearly bald noggin, Wonmug gave his assessment to the General, “it seems our hosts want to keep us alive but bottled up and paralyzed. Just amazing!” He was practically chortling over it.
Panel Four
“What are you still doing here agent?” Gen. Mann asked Sunshine agent Nubo McCarthy who just strides up.
Panel Five
“Your security doors came down and now you are on emergency status lockdown, that is what.” She looked at him with those brown eyes of hers. Gives Gen. Mann the willies. “Sir.” She adds.

Well, that’s ONE way to lose every friend in Moo you might have… one way or another.

Now why on earth, in heaven and hell, did the Benders decide to turn the Wiz against Moo? He is the Grand Wizer of the nation! He’s supposed to be a benign and calming influence on Moo.

AshburnStadium asked –
Now why on earth, in heaven and hell, did the Benders decide to turn the Wiz against Moo?
This is just the kind of inconsistency that the Benders are noted for. Wizer is not a nice person. Never has been. In fact, he is a scoundrel. But he is an officer in the Moovian government. He doesn’t hate his country. What motivates him is his ambition and his desire to become King. But to cause wanton destruction of the city, the country, and its citizens is not something that the Grand Wizer of Moo would do.

Unless of course, he uses them to attack Moo and then save the day himself, making him a hero in the eyes of all the Moovians.
Of course, this is going to backfire and Alley will save the day.

This is getting old. Everyone in Moo takes turns getting their feelings hurt. What a bunch of cry babies.

It looks like the Benders may have been reading Night-Gaunt49’s stories after all. Wizer is acting a lot like Dr. Dank (or what ever his name is)

@TexMichael
Dr. Dark as in darkness.

That is Nobu McCarthy (like the actress) I was rather tired and didn’t make absolutely sure I got the name correct. My apologies.

Good Morning Benders and all Wizer has always been on
the cranky side. The crazed beady eyes are new. I am waiting for the infamous Bwahaha to leave his lips afterwhich he will say “Go my pretty and wreak my revenge
on .Moo.”

Can you give us a couple of examples? This was more true in the past but is less relevant in today’s world. The strip used to have separate stories for Sunday or, when integrated with the daily, there would be action in one that was not in the other. The Benders have resorted to cut and paste, and the syndicate should call them on the carpet for being so darn lazy.

Why attack his own city?
Maybe to call it off and look like a hero?
Same was tried in a Lum and Abner movie once – one ties the other to the railroad tracks in order to untie him before the train got there and be a hero.
Unfortunately, he can’t get the knots undone, and the locomotive is bearing down on him.
But about thirty feet before impact, the train switches off onto another track.
(Funny thing was, that they tied him down on a single track line – Hollywood I guess)
