    ALL RIGHT!

    Way to go, Alley!

    Now all we need is for Alley and the gang to celebrate Christmas in a few days.

    It ought to be good.

    Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 16 “Earth 2 Crisis”(22) 12/22/2012

    Panel One

    Good thing for Alley that Lavainge has had experience in the wilds of Earth 1 during her cryptozoological and paranormal research. It made his job easier. For now they killed and ate smaller lizards, mammals and certain tubers that Alley Oop recognized and little changed from his time in prehistoric Moo.

    Panel Two

    Better to save the rations for when hunting might not be possible. It is here around the fire under a scale barked dark pine that Lavainge gave her hypothesis as to what creatures are doing this mass abductions.

    Panel Three

    “Hmm, not bad, needs a bit of pepper but otherwise tasty!” She said to Alley as they ate the speared animals. With the white tubers found under crimson leaves and yellow bell-blossoms were crunchy and like mint and onion in taste.
    Alley nodded and smiled slurping the fat off of the little bodies of the skinned rat and squirrel sized animals. “Good eaten they are!”

    Panel Four

    “As long as we use passive sensors we should be fine till we get close.” She added taking a broad leaf to wipe her hands and mouth.

    Panel Five

    Just then a loud “crack!” sounded near them. Alley immediately got up off the ground his club at the ready.

    @Rod Gonzalez

    Hamlin and Graue both had a special panel for Christmas Day. We’ll see how this one is.

    So apparently Wonmug’s autopilot timewarp camera was supposed to be the cause of the apocalypse? Since that electrical explosion was so powerful, where did all those amps come from. Certainly not from some solar cells, as someone on here suggested a week or two ago. Or even batteries would have had to be humongous to cause such an electrical explosion.

    it was Tarzan’s fault for the boom, using dynamite to kill a poor T-rex that went to the 1960’s, probably the T-rex landed on the lake

    I thought this might be the end of Alley Oop, the comic strip – going out in a blaze of disgraceful story and art by the Benders. Is there no hope for this strip?

    @Unca Scrooge

    I also thought the BOOM was going to be the end of the Oop strip. Perhaps the Benders figured the world was ending and that would be it. Now however, since it didn’t, they have to figure out how to continue the story. lol

    It may be 22 Dec in Moo, but that’s not 22 Dec 2012.

    The weird thing is that the last three days lasted only a matter of seconds in comic time. Alley, Doc and Ooola arrived in Moo on the 19th. Foozy showed them the time travel spot minutes later on the 20th. Alley disconnects the camera on the 21st, when the ‘boom’ occurred, and a split second later, it’s the 22nd. No indication is given that they slept between the days’ strips, and the reader is led to believe that only a matter of minutes occurred during this entire incident.
