If this last panel repeats on Monday, we’ll see what happens on Tuesday.

If he is wrong, why should he feel responsible thereafter?

    Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 16 “Earth 2 Crisis”(9) 12/9/2012

    Panel One

And hours later when the next shipment came in there was no one at the base to receive it. Communications had been lost some time in the night but such things had happened before and weren’t automatically thought of as a problem. (Even when the worm hole is deactivated the connexion that has been established has a small “fissure” in the plenum that allows for communication to be maintained on a tight powerful beam sent through the ring both ways.)

    Panel Two

Everything went to security lock down then General Mann called in the Gray Omega team, trained and experienced against “unknowns” of an ultra transmundane type. Out growth of Majestic 12 and special forces combined in one unit. Since 2012 such things have become more common and more acute. These are strange times getting stranger all the time. A Sigma 7 type unit.

    Panel Three

They passed through the worm hole and started sweeps to see what-is-what. One of their number sent up four of their own spy drones that look like small black spheres with a red “eye” and fine bladed propellers spinning around their equators, nicknamed “sprats.” They used their own Land Master mobile command center. Instead of one large wheel there are clusters of three each that can rotate around a central axis as well as each tire having and axle too. From an old design first used in a disaster movie in the 1970’s it was found to have real world applications. Grey Omega got it. Armored, fast, armed with various guns and missiles also RADAR etc a rolling ops base. Ideal for the terrain they will be traveling on.

I wonder if the man will kick it up stairs to someone with a higher pay grade?

This is a little better than the last panel in yesterday’s strip, where the interrogator just gave up with no argument. Yesterday’s last panel will probably be repeated tomorrow, by the way.

In the last two panels, one could easily substitute climate change for the Mayan prophecy myth. The words in the last panel would still apply.

    @phritzg

It could but it wouldn’t be something that could be solved by only a few people. That is a world project.

Dang it, Night-Gaunt, I’ve told you before that it’s CONNECTION, not CONNEXION! Where are you getting that spelling? Please post a reply. I really want to know.

Good Morning Benders and all. Doc is speaking of possible
dangers based on his background and integrity. Today with climate change we have,so call, scientists will willing to lie,
fake data, fake pictures to back their assertion global warming is man made. Climate change, warming and cooling has been happening in all recorded and prerecorded history.

    @ Night-Gaunt49:
In regards to your final post on yesterday’s strip:
Prince Valiant also appears in my local Sunday paper (Foster’s Sunday Citizen). I think it also runs in the Boston Sunday Herald, but I’m not sure.

Good point, Doc! Would anyone want to have on his or her hands the fate of everything on Earth from the more than 7 billion humans all the way down to trillions of insects??
