It is times like these he, Wonmug, wish he were in the wilds of another earth with the fresh air that G. Oscar Boom is at right now. Having military experience with his work in the Sun Shine Special Ops force he has a military commission and works for TexComm to boot! A wild planet is just the thing to bring out the gutsy and a little bit of criminal tendencies in Oscar. He hopes Oscar can keep from becoming a freebooter as he has in the past. (Oscar is rich enough with his Moon travel in the late 1940’s to early 1950’s then sold it to the USA for a fortune and helped Goddard-NASA get off the ground post war. They later dropped the Goddard part.)
Panel Two
The location of the portal complex has been moved too. Many of the TexComm vehicles now run on compressed methane and steam power boost with almost 70% combustion but still produces pollution so the portal ring is outside but it can be enclosed for inclement weather. Sure is good they are away from the second mega storm in less than 25 years, “Beula” starting to rake the East coast after smashing Florida for a week and the storm in the Gulf of Mexico that collided with it and merged then went out to sea again strengthened then returned to Florida. Horrible stuff.

Timing is crucial because you don’t want to be caught midway through and the power cuts out or weakens the field. You could just be left drifting in the vacuum of space or be torn apart by the forces of the wormhole dissipating violently.
Panel Four
Even Dr. Merlin Jones* who endowed Medfield University, who solved the power use equations concerning wormhole symmetry, but hasn’t found a way to give more protection to the travelers yet from the field suddenly collapsing. So he and Doc Wonmug have worked out timing for the trips between. At TexComm base they have a smaller portal only so for some of the heavy equipment it is, for now, one way. He wishes Gen. Mann would find Alley Oop and Lavainge quickly, he needs them both here now! -
I just realized that Dr. Wonmug from the 25th (was it that century ?) century meet. So, there was people on Earth in the future and all this maya stuff is just a pie-ce of crap.

What Emile Schwarz says is true. There is no possible way that Alley can believe the world ends in 2012. Dave Wowee visited the 20th century from the 22nd century, and Alley actually visited the year 2145 in the strip of May 9, 2005.
As I recall they visited an alternate version of 2145 an when they returned Dave decided he had somehow caused the US to be split into Red and Blue nations. He fixed it, we never found out what he had done, and everyone forgot about their adventure there.
Ava’s note says nothing about the ‘end of the world’ farce…. it just tells the doc that the link on the time machine is FUBAR and is connecting to Maya land as well as Moo… and therein is a major problem.
It’s Monday all day today! Good Morning to the Benders and all. A overlap from the recap day today Something is up with the Mayan connection and it’s not the end of the Mayan calendar. Maybe Oop can claim to be part if Doc Wonmug’s legal defense team to get in to see him. Where is Oscar?
Again, think about the logic of this in the real world. The screener has a job to do and it doesn’t involve delivering notes. In order to do that, she would have to leave her post, which would not be allowed. She would have no idea who or where Wonmug is. Federal Buildings are big – lots of floors, rooms, and people. The screener would have absolutely no idea how to contact the “interrogators”. Ava would need to know what agency is doing the questioning and I’m going to g guess that it would take at least an hour to find the agency, go through their administrative people, locate, the room, interrupt the questioning, an, maybe just maybe, the people doing the questioning MIGHT give him the note. Just saying Carole has no idea how the real world works.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
