Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(111) 11/21/2012
Panel One
Walking past those strange yellow lights, Dr. Tucker suggests there may be actual living things in some kind of nutritional fluid in those dusty clear cylinders. There is definitely some kind of moving of air but even so there are pockets of stale air dusty and yet moist abound.
Panel Two
They filed on past artifacts or bones or strange creatures, no doubt either experiments of Dr. Havelone or the Van der Sloo necromancers’ half-dead resurrections scuttled or rolled away in fear. Also more mundane roaches too.
Panel Three
“There it is!” Lavainge said right ahead.
Panel Four
What they saw was a yawing hole before them. Strange miasma rose from it showing strange scintillating colors in the vapors. Ground Zero of the haunting.

Not sure what the time transport spot has to do with whether or not there will be a 2013.

doesn’t Oscar have the “old time machine” still?
Wootietoot said, 6 months ago
@Wiselad
He should have it still stashed somewhere. Hard to say if the Benders can remember that far back though.

Ah!
The Mayan Calendar plot thickens….

Again, there is no possible way that Alley can believe the world ends in 2012. He actually visited the year 2145 in the strip of May 9, 2005.

Odd. A lot of people don’t accept that climate change is man-made but do accept the Mayan Appocolypse warnings. Do those people really understand that the Mayan Calandar is also man-made? Probably not, they think it’s an alian artifact of some kind. Very, very odd.

Aha! If Earth1 doesn’t make it to 2012, maybe Earth2 will be our refuge. At least Alley’s.

I recently read that part and as I recall after Wowee reset the altered time line no one but he recalled going to 2145 AD.

Interesting point. However, the very existence of Dave Wowee tells us that the world does not come to an end before 2145.

NightGaunt, I haven’t commented lately, I’m visiting family in Alabama.
I want you to know that I read your strip as often as I can and enjoy every one of them.
SneakyButcher and the other few malcontents can just scroll on by and comment on how wonderful the Bender’s offerings are. I will be incredulous if they actually wrap up the dangling story lines that they’ve allowed to just be hanging out there.

Good Morning Benders and all. The old Wonmug time machine is disabled and on display at the Bronson Institute.
It was last disabled in 2009. Doc Brown said in Back to
the Future 3, “The future is what you make it.” so Alley can
change future events, he just needs to be creative.

But they remember him and he did come from 2145. He visited them for two different story arcs.
