Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(103) 11/13/2012
Panel One
One could see a nimbus of harsh light and smoke coming from the giant artificial…man. “Okay, shut down now!” Dr. Tucker shouted. Lavainge quickly cut off the power. The gun was feeling very warm right now. Too warm. (Connecting the emitter to the batteries directly will do that.)
Panel Two
“I think it is dead,” said Alley trying not to inhale too deeply. He’s smelled it before in a hundred times and places some of them with people, others with animals from dinosaurs to blue mammoths, birds and insect-men burned under many circumstances.
Panel Three
They look at the hulking thing burned black smoking, some of the metal slagged on its legs and damaged patellas. Its blackened skull as strange as the face they thought they had seen in fleeting glimpses. It seems to be rooted in the spot like a burned tree stump. One over 7 feet tall.
Good morning Benders and all. I guess Dinny could guard Alley’s cave for him. I hope the batteries in the remote device still work, it’s a long time and distance to the 7-11.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
