Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(95) 11/5/2012
Panel One
“But the Ghost Buster’s guns can be used as weapons*, why can’t yours?” Lavainge asks feeling the menace now.
Panel Two
“They use back pack nuclear accelerators to fire proton beams, on a neutron carrier wave, much too dangerous for organic beings. My technology uses the ecton’s own powers instead against them. No radiation harm.”
Panel Three
“Then we’d better abandon ship, something is coming and it don’t look good!” Says Alley Oop being at the head of their line he can just about make out what is coming. Ugly as sin.
Panel Four
Alley sets the bulk of the gun down rather hurriedly, then pulls his big black club from his improvised waist band losing his civilian pants with it as it snaps apart. (He’s glad he kept it and his furry shorts on him after all.)
Panel Five
Alley takes his club in his left brawny arm first right hand outward as he turns to the side. Then switches to both hands like a batter ready to hit that one homer that wins the game. He prepares to deliver the blow… —
And we get the three panels from yesterday only larger to see the indignity of Alley Oop. He doesn’t need a chip on his shoulder. Must be a character flaw.
On the “Opera Character Death” scale seven have died since Friday. Are you ever going to move on? (Oh, and let’s not forget the two Shakesperian characters.)
Good morning Benders and all. Today is a go off dayling savings strip as the Benders turn back the strip to yesterday. Alley is out of sorts once again.
A beautiful fall day to the Benders and all. Alley’s getting a little bit full of himself. Having someone bow because they think he’s a God doesn’t apply in Moo’s normal world or to Alley’s friends.
But why does Jack Bender do it? Panel 1 has his typical character pose of having hands extended while talking. I can’t think of one other adventure artist that does this and Jack just does it to death and in order to fill up space.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.

Some artists like to do that to keep people interested. That includes signs changing from one panel to the next.
