Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 14 “Dark Trail of Doom”(15) 6/26/12
A large sleek new model cargo truck seems to have appeared out of no where after a lightening flash. Once they recover being startled they moved into position. Dexter mentioned “teleportation” and Chet told him radio silence for now.
Panel One
One of the squads of Thai Royal soldiers, with their commander, are with Chet and his group the other two remain watching the other ingress/egresses. No one in the sleek rounded cab of the top-of-the-line Ultra-glide cargo hauler. Two US SP’s take the lead with silenced weapons to take out any look outs. Just the “phut, phut” of the rounds knocking down two ruffians in dark slickers fall and are dragged away.
Panel Two
Alley is ready with his heavy club to smash in a skull at any time. They have no idea what to expect. This isn’t your normal perpetrator either. The rain has lessened but the wind is still gusting but most of the lightning has stopped.
Panel Three
They hear some people talking in some language and also other sounds ominous and weird. Padding and scraping sounds (claws?) and grunts and bird-like chirps mixed in.
Panel Four
Dexter, Lavainge and Alley are in the rear. Only Alley is armed and only with a club. Lavainge and Dexter are scared, this isn’t what they are used to. No more lives if they lose it here. No ‘Esc’ to get out of trouble, no resets.
Panel Five
The yellow and green lights illuminates inside the loading zone when they show their guns. Every one inside stops and looks at them. They can’t believe what they see in that loading dock. Alley smells something strange and unnerving.
And of course, if Wonmug zaps Alley and Ooola back to the present, how would they go about locating Lola since she’s off for parts unknown, except for some simplistic map Hamid had?
I agree with Wootitoot. Lola traipsing off to Mondovia, wherever the heck that is, was a stupid move on her part if she intends to help Alley and co. try to get her back to her home. And I still have a hard time believing that Alley and Ooola just stood by and let her go. But the real stupidity is from the Benders, who are writing this tripe.

mynx… I’m sure the Benders don’t have the time to wander through what probably got to be a massive load of mail… easier to scroll through the commentaries(sic) proferred here, so the stuff doesn’t clog the trash file on their own machine.

Just as some of you like Larry and Gaunt, there are some of us who really like Alley Oop as he is. The strip does not need your input. And we certainly are tired of your negative comments.
Now I am sure that you want to put me in my place, so go ahead and make your sarcastic and negative comments, while I will continue to follow Alley Oop and try to resist the temptation to read the remarks that take the joy out of a simple side of life.

Everybody is glaring at Sheldon.
“Get us out of this!” demands Alley.
Sheldon rushes to the controls.
“Kluco, power up the trans warp drives as quick as you can!”
Kluco starts over to the controls, when just then, their ship is filled with a terrible smell and the air burns.
